My first 10 miles since I got tendonitis.  I felt really got running it and felt like I could have run a couple more at the end.  86 minutes was my time.  I need to get ready for the Provo half.  It's scaring me.

Today's race was fun.  I love all of the adrenaline at the beginning then hate it when it leaves.  I also liked it because Hildisvini, Ben, Steve, and my wife Emily also ran in it.  

When I started out I felt like I was going very fast and I wasn't going to reach my sub 50 minute goal.  Then I looked at my watch at the 2 mile mark and was blown away when it said 13:50.  Wow, that pumped me up.  The rest of the way I felt really strong, then kind of died the last 1/2 mile.  I ran it around 46 minutes.  I fell really good about it.  I am also glad because everyone else had a good race.  

 After I finished the race, I ran back to find Emily and ran with her the rest of the way.  I am so proud of her that she ran the whole thing.  Now I need to try to get her to sign up for more races.

 Time to start training for the Provo 1/2 marathon.  At work we have been talking about the benefits that a wind resistant body suit for running.  I think there might be something to that.

Rode the bike at work and worked out the upper body.  I'm really stiff after the race yesterday.  Not sure if I should do my long run tomorrow.  Although the half marathon is looming.  I feel so unprepared for it.

Hiked up Adams Canyon with the family.  I packed Maya around in the child carrier.  She did great.  The waterfall was cool but it sure was hot out there.

Ran on the treadmill at work.  I think I strained my hamstring/groin during the race last week.  It only seems to hurt during running.  I can run with it but it is uncomfortable.  I have the 1/2 marathon coming up in a little over a week.  I hope it gets better by then or it will be a long 13 miles.
